Sixth Form Student Leadership Team
Student voice and leadership are key drivers in supporting our school community at Birchwood High School, developing a spirit of trust, responsibility and mutual respect, whilst allowing students to develop creatively and critically. The Student Leadership Team is one of the most special and unique parts of the Birchwood’s school culture. It highlights just how engaged our students are.
Leadership Team responsibilities:
- Be an ambassador for the school and act as a role model
- Plan and deliver assemblies
- Support school events
- Create a sense of pride within the Sixth Form community
- Liaise, support and work with the wider Sixth Form Leadership Team and school Principal
Attributed needed:
- Be 100% reliable and fulfil duties, giving up your time as and when required
- Be visibly committed to the school community and ethos; your conduct and appearance should provide a consistently positive role model for others
- Display effective leadership and organisational skills
- Have good team and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work to deadlines and manage your workload
- Be willing and able to speak confidently at school events
- An interest in shaping the future of the school
The Application Process includes:
- Letter of Application addressed to Mr Torrance
- 5-minute presentation on a topic of interest
- Formal interview
